Bio:
Has wide experience of working as a professional in education and corporate sector for last twenty plus years in Bangladesh and abroad. He did British O and A level followed by a business graduation under Dhaka University and Masters in Management from Dhaka University. Later he also completed CELTA and obtained an MA in ELT. He has been working as the founder Academic Coordinator of BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL), previously Centre for Languages, in BRAC University for last nine years. Before joining BRAC University, he worked as the Director Administration at Southern University and Coordinated the Executive MBA Program and also conducted Business Communication classes. Prior to this he worked par-time at British Council Teaching Centre, Bangladesh for three years, as a Speaking Examiner of YLE, KET, PET and FCE of University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate. Besides, he also developed the English Language foundation course for BRAC University students, which is now known as Pre University course. Beside teaching, he had received training as the coordinator and evaluator for Business Foundation Course of the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. His professional experience includes working at Tea Garden as an Assistant Manager at Shamshernugger Tea Estate, owned by Duncan Brothers and Assistant to the Head of Marketing in Delta Life Insurance. He is also the founder Director and chief administrator of IOTA Management Consulting Ltd, an organisation providing training, technical support, conducting business research and expertise to both academic and corporate houses. Beside regular teaching at BRAC University, he co-ordinates all the external programmes and was responsible for managing the successful implementation of the MYTEC course of the OU, UK ended in September 2011, establishing the Korean Language Teaching Institute- KING SEJONG Institute with funding from the Korean Government and was responsible for the publication and monitoring of English in Schools, a supplement of The Daily Star funded by ROBI for two years. He also has the experience of printing, publishing and distribution of the weekly news letter “The Muslim Jahan Darpan” funded by the Saudi Government during the first Iraq War on behalf of MADINA Publications located at 38 Bangla Bazar, Dhaka.
